I’m incredibly passionate about sharing my values on living a healthy and happy lifestyle. To guide and help my class to create a stronger sense of body awareness and to appreciate their body and health is what motivates me in my work as a Zumba instructor and Nike NTC Master Trainer.

For me, Zumba was the first exercise that made me realized how happy I feel after a workout. The music, the dancing, and the feeling you get after a Zumba class is addicting. I knew I had to share this amazing feeling to my class.

From Zumba, I started to fall in love with all types of exercises. I am blessed to be picked as the first Nike NTC Master Trainer in Indonesia and to have the opportunity to share this amazing program with my class.

I was instantly in love with Zumba when Laila Munaf first introduced the program to me. Growing up doing ballet and having a passion in music, Zumba became a  “must do” on my to do list and really made me enjoy working out. When I found out there was an instructor training in Jakarta, I signed up in a second! Zumba has brought so many positive changes in my life and has made me an even happier person. I do hope I can give this “Zumba effect” too to my class.

I am a mother of three who loves taking care of my family. Raising and watching my kids grow up in every step of their way is one of my passions in life. When I’m not a full time mom, I am spreading the love of Zumba. 

Here is my story…

Doing Zumba has changed my life upside down. Back in March 2010, I gave birth to my second child, a beautiful baby girl. Instead of feeling happy, I felt miserable. I was unhappy with my weight but at the same time could not control my appetite. I didn’t realize that being overweight could affect my happiness and self-conscious, because it never did. Then one day, my best friend introduced me to Zumba. I fell instantly in love with the workout and exercise routinely and whole-heartedly ever since. I lost 12kg in 6 months thanks to Zumba and my healthy diet.

I am a full time office employee by day and a Zumba instructor by night and I love my job! With Zumba, you will forget that you’re working out because of its fun music and dancing. Before becoming an instructor, I would go 3 to 4 times a week in order to lose some weight and voila! I lost 15 kg’s in 3,5 months.

After doing Zumba for a year, I decided to take the Zumba Instructor Training and get licensed in October 2012. As an Instructor, my goal is to provide energetic and fun Zumba classes where you can be yourself, enjoy the music, and have fun. Even though I still have to lose 15 more kilos in order to have an ideal body, I still like to inspire people to have a healthy and fit lifestyle. Come share my passion for an exciting way to get fit AND have fun doing it.  You will have a blast and break a sweat!

Before becoming an instructor, I could go to Zumba classes 4 to 5 times a week. Many people asked why and could not believe my answer! For me, Zumba is a total body workout that satisfies my need to move and helps me distress after very demanding days. Just move the way you want and feel like you’re dancing in a club! Let’s party with me and burn calories and get fit while having fun with friends!

I decided to teach Zumba because I love the program. I want to share happiness and positive energy to my class. My goal is to motivate and inspire people to get healthy & fit. I believe that endurance doesn't come automatically, but it must be built. I want people to exercise without realizing that they are working out because Zumba is a fun workout. There are plenty of benefits from Zumba. I believe that it will make you happy, brighten up your day, boost up your mood and also change your life. At the end, you will feel necessary to do Zumba, as necessary as breathing.

I come to Pilates after my 10 years as a competitive swimmer, both nationally & internationally. In 2003, I moved to Bangkok & tried Pilates for the first time. I felt the challenge then decided to pursue my passion to become an internationally qualified instructor. In 2009, I moved to Hong Kong, taught for several years based on my background in Classical Pilates while adding Contemporary Pilates. 

In 2013, I moved back to Jakarta, launching www.pilatesid.com because I want to share Pilates for free in Bahasa. I believe the benefit of Pilates should be accessible throughout the nation and choosing website as the media is just the best solution. 

As Pilates Instructor, I analyze posture while moving during the class and also design programs specifically aimed at maximizing the alignment, strength & mobility. Pilates gives that longer leaner body while building strong core, from teenager to the elderly, from executives that sit a lot to pro athletes, to pre natal to post natal. See you at Sana Studio!
